You Snooze You Lose
Are you a chronic snoozer? According to behavioural researchers 59% of Brits hit the snooze button at least once each morning – not so good when the majority of research highlights that snoozing is generally bad for you (sorry snoozers!). By having a snooze habit, you lose out on proper sleep by setting the alarm for earlier than necessary. If you fall asleep after hitting the snooze button, you may enter another sleep cycle; a cycle that you have no chance of finishing. When the second alarm jerks you awake the incompleteness of the process can leave you feeling sleepy and groggy rather than energised and alert. Tip to beat the snooze? Place your alarm far away from your bed!
