Mix it up!
Do you experiment with different types of exercises or has exercise become the same old routine week in week out? Whilst the most important thing is to exercise, we reap a great deal more health benefits if we mix it up a little. For optimal all-round health, the goal is to be creative and do all four types of exercise: strength, balance, flexibility, and endurance. This variety will also decrease the risk of injury as well as reduce boredom, so it’s win-win! People tend to do what they enjoy, or what feels the most effective, thus some aspects of exercise and fitness are ignored. So whilst it’s important to enjoy what you do, try not to forget that when it comes to exercise – variety is the spice of life.
